Most parts supplied will carry a guarantee of 3 months and only parts shown on your invoice/receipt are covered by the warranty. If any part supplied by Nippon Auto Spares Ltd proves to be faulty during this period, it may be returned to us for a replacement. If no replacement is available a refund will be given.
Replacement or refund will only be given on production of the original invoice.
Replacement or refund will only be given if the goods are returned in the same condition as supplied with our marking still visible, removal of these marks will void warranty.
In most instances, ECU’s, electrical or electronic items, particularly computers, are non returnable due to the ease with which mis-fitting can cause the ‘invisible’ destruction of the part or other faults in the customers vehicle.
Nippon Auto Spares Ltd will not cover any part which has been dismantled or tampered with (other than the replacement of standard service parts or components). Returns are void if you have dismantled or tampered with a part in any way.
We are not responsible for any labour, recovery or rental car expenses caused the use of wrong or defective parts during installation. Our warranty covers parts only. It is your responsibility to check that any part(s) supplies is correct prior to fitting.
All parts should be inspected upon delivery before signing to ensure that the item has not been damaged in transit.
We do not guarantee the colour/code of body panels. Some body panels may have superficial scratch marks therefore customers usually respray the body panel received.
Any door/mirror/tailgate glass purchased from Nippon Auto Spares Ltd will not be covered with any warranty. We will provide sufficient packaging on such items though we cannot be held responsible if these items break/damage in transit. Customers are buying such items at their own risk, our couriers do not provide insurance on any damaged glass.
If you wish to return a part. The part for return must arrive to us within 14 days of receipt by the customer and in the original condition as purchased.
Any part(s) correctly supplied by us and returned to us within 7 days is subject to a 20% handling charge at the managers discretion.
If a buyer purchased an item by mistake and the item is unfitted and in it’s original condition and packaging for reselling, the buyer is responsible for all related shipping costs.
We strongly recommend that all safety critical parts are fitted only by specifically trained automotive technicians. No liability can be accepted for malfunction, damage or injury caused by inappropriate fitting of such components.
All of our new OEM parts will be advertised with their original images, OEM part numbers and brief description to help customers find what they need. It is highly recommended that before making purchase you should match your old part with the pictures and part numbers given on our website. Do not buy the product until and unless you are 100% sure that you are buying the correct part or replacement for your car.
If you are unsure about a fitment of a new OEM part please provide us with your Registration number/VIN number of your car before checkout so we can double check suitability prior to shipping.
Most of our brand new genuine OEM parts are covered with a 12 month manufacturer warranty.
In the case of a defective part, the customer must return the part alongside proof of purchase as well as installation date and mileage at the time of installation. Customers must document the symptoms of the defect when returning any part under warranty.
Registration Number/VIN and mileage are required for all returns.
All warranty claim parts will be inspected by the manufacturer for eligibility upon receipt. Replacements will only be sent once the inspection is completed and the warranty is approved.
Nippon Auto Spares Ltd is not responsible for supplying an alternative part whilst the suspect is being inspected, returned, refunded, exchanged, or repaired.
Special order items: Sometimes we may not have what you require readily on the shelf and we may need to special order the item direct from the manufacturer, which could take several weeks or months to arrive. If a customer decides to cancel or return a special-order part they will face a 20% re-stocking charge and in some cases may not be accepted for return at all. We encourage customers to check whether parts are special order before placing an order if there is a chance that you may wish to return them.

Our engines come with a 3 month warranty (starting from the date of delivery) as long as your car is running standard.
Most of our engines are directly imported from Japan removed from running, low mileage vehicles, tried and tested.
Professional installation is required; if a certified mechanic does not install the engine warranty is void.
We offer an engine installation service with 3 months engine & labour warranty ONLY if the engine is purchased directly from Nippon Auto Spares Ltd.
Upon installation your mechanic must perform correct oil system overhaul procedure (flush oil system & oil pump change). The loss of engine because of insufficient amount of oil in the engine or lack of oil pressure will void warranty.
Engines must be correctly fitted with new cam & auxiliary belts, oil, oil filters, spark plugs & water pump. Any failure to follow these terms will invalidate warranty.
Engines are sold as bare engines, to clarify; no Starter Motor, Alternator, Turbo, Manifolds, ECU, Pump, Injectors, Wiring Loom, Sensors or any bolts parts or Gearbox. An engine consists of a block and head with all internals. Warranty covers internal moving components of the head and block. External bolt on parts are not covered under warranty. These parts can be replaced from your original engine.
Any ancillary/service parts supplied with engines including Water Pumps, Cam Belts, Turbos etc have NOT been tested & are provided free of charge. These parts are NOT covered by any warranty supplied by Nippon Auto Spares Ltd.
Our warranty does NOTcover: Gaskets, Oils, Seals, Cam Belts, Timing Belts, Fan Belts, Water Pumps, any ancillary parts, or damage caused by misuse, improper fitting, neglect, accident or continued use.
Warranty is void if the engine is disassembled or parted out internally such removal of the head, pistons, rings, connecting rods, crankshaft etc.
Gas conversion (LPG) vehicles will not be warranted by Nippon Auto Spares Ltd.
We are not responsible for any labour, recovery or rental car expenses caused the use of wrong or defective parts during installation.
High performance, transplanted engines or engines used for conversion i.e., engine kits/swaps will be given a ‘start-up’ warranty only.
No warranty for engines red lined or used for performances, competition i.e., racing, drifting etc.
Engine loss caused by modification or forced induction (Nitrous/Alcohol Injection/Turbo/Supercharger & Aftermarket ECU Upgrades) for which the engine was not designed will void warranty.
Warranty is void if the engine is blown or seized due to customer negligence.
All Rotary engines are not under warranty.
Engines purchased for Private hire/Taxis will only be warranted for 1 month.
Nippon Auto Spares Ltd provides used, low mileage engines for Japanese vehicles. Some engines may have scratches, fragile plastic, metal, or rubber parts & engine sensors that could possibly bend or break during container transportation from Japan. These parts can be replaced with parts from your original engine.
Damage to Oil Sump/Pans cannot be covered due to the process in which we import, some engines may have dents and imperfections on the Oil Sump/Pan. You can replace this from your original engine.

Reconditioned Engines Warranty
Nippon Auto Spares Ltd occasionally stocks reconditioned engines, we can also rebuild certain engines, contact us for further enquiries.
We offer a 6 month warranty on our reconditioned engines.
Our reconditioned engines are based on exchange; if we do not receive your old core unit then warranty is void.
Please notify us on 01332 293 399 as soon as your exchange unit is ready to be collected
Our gearboxes come with a 3 month warranty (starting from the date of delivery) as long as your car is running standard.
Professional installation is required; if a certified mechanic does not install the gearbox warranty is void.
We offer a gearbox installation service with 3 months gearbox & labour warranty ONLY if the gearbox is purchased directly from Nippon Auto Spares Ltd.
Gearboxes must be filled with new oil upon installation, failure to follow this procedure will void your warranty. Failure of incorrect quantity or type of lubricant will result in warranty void.
CVT gearboxes must be filled with genuine OEM gearbox oil. Kept properly lubricated and serviced in the correct manner with a lubricant approved by the vehicle makers (damage caused by loss of lubricant is not covered by this warranty).
Warranty is void if the gearbox is used in a rally, road race or any other form of competition and is not to be used in any unusual or abnormal manner.
Warranty is void caused by incorrect maintenance, incorrect fitting or setting up of unit.
Warranty is void if the gearbox is wholly or partly dismantled.
Warranty is void if the gearbox is fitted to a vehicle for which it was not originally designed i.e. kit cars, engine/gearbox swaps etc.
Any parts surrounding the gearbox i.e., sensors, mounts, linkages are not covered by warranty.
We are not responsible for any labour, recovery or rental car expenses caused the use of wrong or defective parts during installation.
Gearboxes purchased for Private hire/Taxis will only be warranted for 1 month.
